MATIAS SALINA - FOUNDER, TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

USSF C License & over 10 years coaching experience

Matias Salina has been coaching for over 10 years in Maryland and came from Argentina when he was 10. He then played for Bethesda Soccer Club, and Montgomery College where he received his Associates Degree in Teaching.
Matias has coached MSI Teams, Tots, and Camps.
He now started Xeneizes MD Soccer Academy to bring his knowledge, and help kids develop their skills as players.

Here at Xeneizes MD Soccer Academy we believe in long term player development.
Players will get better individually throughout the seasons, which will help the team, itself, improve.
We like to focus on the quality of the players when playing a match rather than looking at the winning side.

“IF THE PLAYERS PLAYED WELL, AND THEY PLAYED AS A TEAM, THEN THEY ARE ALREADY WINNERS!”

Join Our Coaching Staff

If you are looking to start your coaching career or continue coaching, you are in the right place! All of our coaches get USSF Licensed so that they are up to date with new information and so that they can continue their coaching education.

Assisting Coach

This is where we start coaches so that they can get used to the curriculum and system of play that we have here at Xeneizes MD. For the most part, assistant coaches will assist head coaches during practices, and games.
Assistant coaches will have the opportunity to participate in the training, try to run a small portion of a practice session as they progress and get comfortable.
The main role of an assistant coach is to interact with players, and show players the "how to" moments by visually showing them how.

Head Coaches

In order to be a head coach you must be USSF Licensed or have certain amount of years of experience with youth. If you have experience, you will have to go through a session to confirm this, but also will need to get stated on your USSF Coaching Licensing at the very least Grassroots 4v4, 7v7, 9v9, & 11v11 Level.

The head coaches role is to be able to run a full practice session, have control of the players, field organization, game management (tactical), and to be able to hit coaching points (fixing errors) while at practice sessions.

Not Licensed?

No worries! We teach coaches step by step on how to run sessions, how to manage games, and other skills so that they can grow as a coach.

Can I get Licensed?
